Fundamental Architecture Principle: AI Can't Fix My Car was engineered to keep your vehicle records, VINs, maintenance receipts, and diagnostic history strictly on your personal device. There is no cloud account registration, no analytics telemetry, no behavioral profiling, and no selling of data.

1. What Stays Strictly on Your Device

Vehicle Profiles & VINs: Saved vehicles, trim specifications, odometer logs, and bookmarked torque specifications are stored exclusively in your local on-device SQLite / SwiftData database.
Maintenance Receipts & Photos: Receipt scanning runs entirely on-device via Apple Vision framework. Odometer readings and date stamps are extracted locally, and photo attachments stay on your hardware.
Diagnostic & Test Logs: Multimeter circuit test results, trouble code investigations, and repair progress notes are never synced to any remote server.

2. Network Communications

NHTSA Public Safety Recalls: When you look up safety recalls or manufacturer service complaints, the app queries the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) public government API. NHTSA's own privacy policy governs those government endpoints.
In-App Purchases: Apple processes all financial transactions through Apple StoreKit. We receive cryptographically signed transaction status tokens directly from Apple to unlock your Pro entitlement. We never see or store your payment card numbers or billing address.
Zero Cloud AI APIs: All vehicle specifications, DTC interpretations, and diagnostic trees run deterministically from local signed content packs. No vehicle data or photos are transmitted to external AI cloud models.

3. Apple App Privacy Declarations (Data Usages)

Data Used to Track You: None.
Data Linked to You: None.
Data Not Linked to You: Purchase status tokens (managed strictly via Apple StoreKit for entitlement validation).

4. Data Sovereignty & Complete Export

Export at Any Time: You can export all your vehicles, maintenance history, and logs as standard JSON and CSV files via Settings > Export Data.
Permanent Local Deletion: Removing a vehicle from your garage immediately wipes its associated service records from storage. Deleting the application removes all application data from your iOS device.
